Henning Gammelgaard Jensen is a qualified engineer and started his career in the wind energy industry back in 1981. First at Skjern Elektro, when the first computer-based control systems for wind turbines were developed and later at Vestas where computer based controllers replaced the relay-based controllers. After Vestas's reconstruction in 1987 Jensen established Orbital and exports activities began to dominate the company after a few years. At that time the barriers by exporting to other European countries were at the same level as the export barriers to the Asian countries are today. Since the late 80’ties Jensen has been working with export for different companies and during this period Jensen has established a strong business network especially in Asia. This long export experience has, among other things, led to H.G. Jensen now for 5 years has served as Chairman of the Danish Export Association turbine division.

The wind industry has been a global industry for many years, so exports should receive great attention for all companies that are supplier to the wind industry. But be aware that export is a difficult process with many potential risks. Plan carefully which products you will introduce on the market, allocate enough resources and ensure that export plans have full support from the top management.
